The Battle of Hastings started with the Saxons in the prime position and the Normans having to run up a hill to be blocked by a massive shield wall.
The Normans realised they couldn't beat the Saxons by charging at them so they tried different tactics. However after many failed attempts they came up with the idea to "run away". This tactic succeeded as some of the Saxons chased the Normans and got mascarad.
The remaining Saxons couldn't repair the shield wall and the Normans killed King Harold and won the Battle of Hastings.
