Muhammad was born in the year 570, in the town of Mecca, Western Arabia. Muhammad derives from the Arabic verb: hamada, meaning "to praise, to glorify."
Because Muhammad's mother and grandfather passed on, In the year 578, Muhammad is passed on to the care of his uncle. (Qu'ran: "Did God not find you an orphan and give you shelter and care? And he found you wandering, and gave you guidance. And he found you in need, and made you independent." (93:6-8)
(Year 580-594) In Muhammad's teens, he sometimes traveled with his uncle (Abu Talib, a merchant) Older merchants recognized his character and nicknamed him "El-Amin" which means, the one you can trust.
