  • Exposition
  • Rising action
  • Climax
  • Calpurina is yelling at the children because they were reenacting Boo Radley's life story for the whole neighborhood to see. This is neither nice or neighborly.
  • Falling action
  • This is the first day of school. Calpurnia is responsable for getting the children out of the door well feed and on time. This is Scout's first day of school, and she is not looking forward to it.
  • Resolution
  • Calpurnia is yelling at Scout for thinking that they are better than the Cunninghams and telling Walter not to pour syrup all over his dinner. Jem had invited him to dinner after he got in a fight with Scout at school. Scout was not being polite to her dinner guest.
  • Conflict
  • In this scene, Calpurnia is calling the sheriff because there is a sick dog on the loose. Tim Johnson is an old dog, that has a disease that could be harmful to children. Calpurnia saved the children and the neighborhood by doing this.
  • Calpurnia is taking Scout and Jem to her church in the scene. She is having them meet the reverend. Atticus is out of town and unable to take them to his church, so Calpurnia takes them to her own.
  • Calpurnia is comforting Helen Robinson, after her husband was killed trying to escape prison. Tom her husband was trailed for rape, and was being held in an prison after being found guilty. His lawyer, Atticus was  trying to repel the court.
