  • Alexander the 3rd Took the Throne
  • I Czar Alexander the 3rd, hereby decree, that all reforms that Czar Alexander the 2nd, are to be abolished.
  • Nicholas the 2nd Took the Throne
  • I Czar Nichols the 2nd, will uphold the tradition of the Russian Czar Rule.
  • Bloody Sunday
  • We want better working conditions and a legislature.
  • Alexander the 2nd made reforms and changes to help Russia progress. His son Alexander the 3rd took those reforms and rid of them. He wanted Russia to stay the way it had always been. The czar was to be in complete control. Getting rid of everything his father to make things better with change angered the people of Russia, they wanted change.

  • Nicholas the 2nd is the son of Alexander the 3rd. He wanted to rule just like his father. He ruled thinking he had divine right to rule. This created tension with the Russian people who still wanted and needed change. He and his family of 7 were the last royal family to rule. There rule ended in with there deaths.
  • Lenin Came into Power
  • Bloody Sunday was the revolution of 1905. The people wanted the Czar to hear their complaints. Over 200,000 workers being kids, men, and women showed up to ask for more freedom, better working conditions, and a legislature, however, the Czar wasn't there. Soldiers started to open fire on the people, killing thousands. This caused even higher chances of revolution, because they were upset that not only were they not being heard but, also killed for a peaceful protest.
  • The Red Army VS The White Army

  • The March Revolution Happened in March of 1917. Textile women workers went up in protest and made a strike. It took five days to have 200,000 people join them on the streets shouting. They wanted fuel and food, they wanted bread because they were hungry. The soldiers that were sent to stop and kill them ended up joining them and helping. They agreed that there needed to be change and food for people.
  • Lenin returned too Russia with the help of Germany. The Germans believed that Lenin would start put the revolution in full swing, they were right. Lenin promised Peace, Land, and Bread. He also promised that he would put an end to the Russians fighting. He accomplished all of those things. As soon as he became leader he started to make changes for the better for Russia.

  • The Red Army vs the White Army was a civil war. The Red Army was made up of Lenin's men the Bolsheviks, they were lead by Leon Trotsky. The White Army was made up of the Russian people who wanted different things. The civil war lasted two years, 1918-1920. Over 14 million Russians died in the conflict. In the end the Red Army won proving to all of the Russian people that they had the power and that they were going to keep it.
