The rescuers come to help the narrator, Itchoua, and Le Gleo in their rat dilemma. They think of an idea to get some meat and put it on a tugboat to luer the rats out of the lighthouse. Then, they would throw fire onto the tugboat to get rid of the rats so the lighthouse workers could escape. They do it and the plan works. They kill the rats! Once the lighthouse workers come out, the rescuers take them to a hospital. Le Gleo turns out to be crazy and he is sent to a mental hospital in France. Itchoua dies.
