  • First Debate: Ottawa, Illinois. August 21st, 1858
  • You are trying to abolitionize the Whig and the Democratic parties! You 
  • You are wrong...
  • Second Debate: Freeport, Illinois. August 28th, 1858
  • I will now answer seven of Douglas' questions that he posed a Ottawa.
  • Third Debate: Jonesboro, Illinois. September 15th, 1858
  • Lincoln, you have a different opinion at each debate, make up your mind!
  • What is Douglas thinking? He is wrong about everything!
  • Fifth Debate: Galesburg, Illinois. October 7th, 1858
  • The D.o.I was for white men, and white men only. 
  • Actually, the D.O.I was meant to apply to all men of any kind. 
  • Sixth Debate: Quincy, Illinois. October 13th, 1858
  • Let me go back in time and change everything I have previously said. I want to say that I believe that slavery is morally wrong, and that Republicans can attack territories if the constitution allows it.
  • Slavery is not good nor bad, but towns or cities should decide if they allow slavery or not.
  • Seventh Debate: Alton, Illinois. October 15th, 1858
  • On the other hand, Stephen Douglas did win the position as senate. 
  • We have decided to put Lincoln on the national map of political figures...
