  • Tybalt, you rat catcher, will you walk with me?
  • Scene 3 Act II
  • Tybalt is gone and Romeo is banished. Romeo that killed him--he is banished.
  • The third scene in Romeo and Juliet included a turning point or the climax of the entire story.
  • Act 3 Scene III
  • O deadly sin, O rude thankfulness! Thy fault our law calls death, but the Prince, Taking thy part, hath rushed aside the law...
  • Mercutio, Tybalt, Benvolio and Romeo all encounter one another in the streets. Tybalt tries to provoke Romeo into fighting but once he declines, Merctutio satands up to the challenge. They duel and Mercurio falls and Romeo avenges him and kills Tybalt. He is then banished from Verona.
  • Act 3 Scene IV
  • O' Thursday, tell her, She shall be married to this noble earl.
  • The Nurse arrives to Juliet with news that Romeo has killed Tybalt and that he is banished from Verona. Juliet is filled with confusion and sadness. The Nurse promises to bring Romeo to her that night to say goodbye.
  • Act 3 Scene V
  • Graze where you will, you shall not house with me.
  • Friar Lawrence tells Romeo that his punishment is banishment not death and they start fighting because Romeo claims that he would rather have death than banishment. Then the Friar tells Romeo that he can spend the night with Juliet. The Friar also promises that Romeo might be able to return to Verona eventually.
  • Paris makes a reappearence and talks to Lord Capulet about marrying Juliet. Lord Capulet says that Juliet will marry him because it is her duty. Without her consent he tells Paris that they will get married in three days.
  • After a short goodbye between Romeo and Juliet, they Romeo leaves at sunrise. Shortly after, Lady Capulet comes into Juliet's room and tells her the arranged marriage plan. Juliet refuses and her father tells her that if she will not marry Paris, she will be thrown out into the streets.
