Marco Polo has lived most of his childhood in Venice, his dad and his brother left when he was still very young. Marco Polo is a well-known writer and explorer who traveled to Asia while writing fascinating stories in his book.
When Polo was still in Venice his father and brother went to go travel. They have have been traveling for almost 3 years and when they went to China and met Kublai Khan.
Marco's father offered the choice to Kublai Khan if he would take his son (Marco) to become his explorer and tell him about his journies.
I haven't told half of what I saw!
After both Kublai Khan and Marco accepted Marco started traveling through Asia and Europe. He was a very good story teller but exaggerated most of the stories he told.
He wrote down all of his explorations and went back to China to tell Kublai Khan about them. He over exaggerated most of the tales. After he was done Kublai Khan let him go back to Venice.
After many years go by Kublai Khan has died and war has gone all around China and Marco has grown older. As Marco takes his last few breaths his last words were "I have not told half of what I saw".
