Gavrilo Princip gather his associate Nedeljko Čabrinović, and four other revolutionaries and made a plan to assassinate Franz Ferdinand, on the day of his procession on June 28
On June 28 1914 the Grand duke and duchess got ready for the review of the military forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This angered some Serbian nationalists, who believed the territories should be part of Serbia.
With a target on site Čabrinović there was a hand grenade at Archduke's car, which ended up bouncin of the car and blowing up somewhere in the distance injuring some people. With failure at hand Čabrinović took a sucide pill and jumped into a shallow lake. But the pill was defective so he only threw up instead of dying.
With the recent atem on their lives the Archduke and Duchess go to the manor and make a complaint,. Proclaiming how they were treated during their current visit is out of the rageouse.
After leaving the mayor's place of work, someone noticed that they went the wrong way so they stopped at a cafe and began to get ready to push the car back, since the car didn't have manual reverse. During that time frame the discouraged sandwich eating Gavrilo Princip noticed that his target was right in front of him.
So Gavrilo Princip whipped out his pistol and shot the Archduke in the neck thus ending his life. After the assasination Gavrilo Princip ran down the road but was later caught and tried which ended with him getting twenty years of life in prison.
