  • Exiled from Athens

  • Daedalus was an Athenian master architect, sculptor and carpenter. One of the best in Athens and was highly-praised.
  • A weird and horrible decision
  • Daedalus was quickly exiled from his home city after the death of his Nephew, Talos after he murdered him, thinking he was a better carpenter than himself
  • Escaping the Prison
  • After he moved to another city, Crete, he befriended their king, King Minos and was deeply trusted by him.
  • A Fateful loss
  • Soon after, he made a decision with King Mino's wife, Pasiphae after she had been cursed with falling in love with the king's prized bull.
  • After this horrible decision, King Minos was infuriated causing Daedalus and his son, Icarus to be imprisoned on top of a tower.
  • Daedalus created mechanical wings to escape the tower with his son. He gave warnings to not fly close to the Sun nor the ocean. Icarus did not listen and filled with pride, met a fateful death.
