  • The FLQ kidnap James Cross
  • Give us $500000 worth of gold and release previously arrested FLQ member or he dies.
  • The FLQ kidnap Pierre Laporte
  • We now have James Cross and Pierre Laporte, both men will die if you do not comply with our demands.
  • The War Measures Act
  • You're Under Arrest
  • Don't worry about that!
  • Why?
  • On October 5th, 1970 the FLQ kidnapp James Cross and demand $500000 worth of gold to be given to them and all FLQ members previously arrested to be released, or they would kill him.
  • Kill Pierre Laporte
  • On October 15th, 1970 the FLQ kidnap Pierre Lapote in a response to the Candian government not complying with their demands.
  • If you give us James Cross we will give you safe passage to Cuba.
  • Under the War Measures Act the Federal Government had almost dictorial powers. The FLQ became illegal, the police were allowed to aresst and hold citizens without reason and police and soldiers patrolled the streets of Montreal.
  • You are under arrest for being in association with the kidnaping of James Cross
  • The FLQ respond to the the War Measures Act by killing Pierre Laporte
  • The FLQ get mad that the War measures Act is enabled so they kill Peirre Laporte.
  • The Canadian Government Negotiates with the FLQ for James Cross
  • The Canadian Government decide that they will give the members of the FLQ a safe passage to Cuba in return for James Cross.
  • Members of the FLQ started to return to Canada and got arrested for being part of the FLQ and kidnapping of James Cross and Murder of Peirre Laporte.
  • Members of the FLQ slowly get arrested as they return to Canada
