Storyboard Text

  • The Senate
  • WE ARE MADE UP OF WEALTHY PATRICIANS THAT SERVE FOR LIFE TO ADVISE THE CURRENT LEADER.
  • WE ARE CHOSEN BY THE PLEBEIANS TO REPRESENT THEM IN THE GOVERNMENT. WE CAN VETO A BILL IF WE DON'T AGREE WITH IT.
  • The Senate
  • EACH YEAR, CITIZENS VOTE ON WHICH ONE OF US PATRICIANS GETS WHICH OFFICE.
  • HOWEVER, WE PATRICIANS HAVE MORE SAY SINCE WE ARE WEALTHIER.
  • The Plebeians
  • WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO HAVE MORE SAY IN THE POLITICS. WE ALSO DON'T WANT TO BE THE UNDERDOGS ANYMORE. LET'S LEAVE ROME AND START OUR OWN CITY, THEN THE PATRICIANS WILL REALIZE HOW MUCH THEY NEEDED US.
  • NOW, THERE ARE THREE PARTS OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE TWO ELECTED CONSULS, THE SENATE (PATRICIANS ONLY), AND THE ASSEMBLIES (SOME MADE UP OF ONLY PLEBEIANS).
  • The Council of Plebs
  • The Twelve Tables
  • TWELVETABLES
  • EVERY ROMAN LAW IS WRITTEN ON THE TWELVE TABLES. NOW, EVERYBODY KNOWS WHAT IS LEGAL AND WHAT IS NOT.
  • The Tripartite
