Storyboard Text

  • // --> //// (strands of DNA)
  • I mean, I understand my life is kind of like interphase, because I carry out normal life activities...
  • Hey guys! My friend Bill told me I live like a cell. I'm going to ask him what he means.
  • And maybe prophase, since my brain is condensing with knowledge every day... Just like the chromosomes in the nucleus condensing! But what about the rest?
  • X X (chromosomes)
  • --------X--------- --------X--------- (spiral fibers)
  • I guess I kind of get it...
  • Metaphase is when chromosomes line up in the cell to make it easier to divide, just like we organize our thoughts to understand things.
  • So... How is my life like metaphase?
  • --> `` <--- --> `` <---
  • You're right. But if you think about it, detaching chromosomes with fibers is just like you being separated with your friends by mean teachers. Remember we didn't get to be math partners today?
  • But then, what about anaphase? I mean... I don't get separated every day!!
  • Okay, okay. But telophase?
  • In telophase, the two sets of DNA on the other side get wrapped up in different nuclei, right? It's like how when people move away they live a different life and get wrapped up in their own business.
  • It's starting to rain. You should go home now.
  • //
  • //
  • //
  • //
  • It's not raining anymore...
  • Now I understand. The final stage, cytokinesis, is like me because I'm a twin!
