Martin, a teenage boy with a big family, finds a phone in a park. It makes strange noises that give him emotions. Mrs. DeSalvio, an old neighborhood lady, says it's hers.
That's my phone.
Mrs. DeSalvio explains that she is part of a group called ACES (Assistance for Canines in Emergency Situations). She and Martin set off to answer a distress call.
They eventually come up to an apartment building. Mrs. D tells Martin to go to it and find the dog in trouble.
The transmissions are coming from that building.
You should go inside and find the dog.
Martin finds a scared dog tied to a table by its leash. It was left behind by its previous owners. A man who is cleaning there says the apartment is for sale. Martin informs his father, who buys the estate.
There you are!
Martin takes the job as an ACES member. He became accustomed to answering many urgent calls every day.
And when no dogs in the neighborhood were in distress, Martin played with his own happy dog.
