The Aztec civilization was a nomadic society; they relied on their gods to help them find settlements. One day, they set off to find a new place to settle, guided by their god, Huitzilopochtli. They were travelling to the Valley Of Mexico, to find their destined land.
After many days of walking, the travellers came across a tribe of people living in the Valley Of Mexico. They requested to settle there, but were denied; the tribe thought they were too barbaric. So instead they were thrown into a land full of snakes.
Valley Of Mexico
Sorry but no........
Unexpectedly, the explorers did not perish in the land of snakes. Instead, they flourished, by eating the snakes as a form of nutrients. They built sturdy huts to shelter in, and lived there for a while. Eventually they moved on, because they knew that it was not the land they were destined for.
Honestly, cooking the snakes is easy, and they taste delicious.
They set off once again, to find the land they were destined for. They knew that they would know, as the god Huitzilopochtli had told them to look for the sign. When they saw an eagle sitting on a pricly pear cactus, they would have found the correct location.
they found the cactus and the eagle so they decided to live there.they decided to build the city in honor of Huitzilopotchli and name it Tenochtitlan after our chief Tenoch
Tenochtitlan was build in the middle of lake Texaco the largest lake in the valley of mexico.the location of the city was really good because it sat in between 3 of the largest city Culhuacan Chichimec and Tepaner
