"Nothing's happening today. Is it?" They all blinked at him and then, understanding, laughed and shook their heads. Margot tried to tell them that the sun was gonna come out but they didn't listen. They bullied her and everything.
In the story Margot has to face a External Conflict (Character vs. Character). Margot has to face William and the other kids in the classroom. But sadly she failed trying to fight back.
One personification in the story is "...they were dreaming and remembering gold or a yellow crayon or a coin large enough to buy the world with". The author used this because he/she wanted to give the sun human characteristics.
In the resolution the classmates remember about Margot being in the closet. They realized that she was right and that they shouldn't have done her like that. They all felt bad about how they treated her and also felt sad that she didn't get to see the sun.
