  • Little Marilyn and her babysitter, Ellie, love to go to the fair. Marilyn sits on the rides and Ellie shows her how the rides move. Marilyn is still very little, so she can't ride on the rides for real yet. Her arms and legs are still loose and floppy.

  • Marilyn is still too little to go on the rides, but they scare her anyway. She is now old enough to be frightened by specific things, and be consciously aware of what scares her. Ellie is very patient with her,

  • Ellie and Marilyn can now go to the circus. Marilyn can walk around more, because her body is stronger. But her legs are still short, and she gets hungry very quickly. Also, she is very apt to get cranky.

  • Little Marilyn relates better to adults, like Ellie or her mother and father, and only warms up to peers after a while. She hides from new people.
  • Marilyn can now relate better to peers, and has friends that she enjoys seeing. Her feelings get hurt easily, and she is still being taught to do thing like sharing and playing with a group.
  • Marilyn is crankier more easily, but mostly she is cheerful and creative. She engages herself after a stage of shyness. Ellie has an easier time reasoning with her..
