  • The narrator despised the old man for just one reason the old man eyes. He says "he had the eye of a vulture,when ever it fell upon me my blood red cold" he decides that he should get rid of the old man forever.
  • CLIMAX
  • The narrator watches the old man sleep for seven days. Watching his every move until the day he can attack.But he doesn't want to attack the old man while he is sleep.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • On night eight it was something different. The old man was awake.His eye was in sight,The narrator had the chance and he took that chance.
  • RESOLUTION
  • The narrator goes for his chance, he suffocates the old man with his own bed. He chops him up and put him under the floor board. He say "he feels clever and no one not even the man eye can find him".
  • The cops knocked on his door because they say a neighbor reported they heard a scream. The narrators says"it was my scream from a bad dream'. He leads the cops to the crime scene to talk.
  • He starts to think the cops are on to him, laughing at him. He starts to go crazy and just spills everything.
