  • Verbal Irony
  • Hey.. Are you okay?
  • Yes i´m okay.. I couldn't be happier.
  • This is an example of situational irony. We can see a boy and a girl at the cinema on a date and the girl expects to get a kiss from the boy.
  • Dramatic Irony
  • This is an example of situational irony since we can see a boy and a girl at the cinema on a date and the boy has no intention on kissing her. She gets sad and very disappointed.
  • This is a clear example of verbal irony. The boy asks the girl if she is alright since she seems upset and the girl replies "I'm okay... I couldn't be happier" when in fact she means the opposite, she's really mad.
  • This is an example of dramatic irony since the audience understands and knows what is going to happen. The character in the movie has no idea the serial killer has the intention of killing her.
  • No! Don't walk through the forest. The serial killer is going to kill you!
