These homes were made out of sun-dried bricks.
The houses were eventually overcrowded with houses built on top of each other.
In their bathrooms people stood on a brick 'shower tray'.
They tipped the clean water over themselves from a jar to clean themselves.
Some people had private wells, for clean water. Others went to public wells, to fetch water in jars or animal- skin bags.
The Indus people bathe as part of their religion because many people believed the 'great bathe' suggests the Indus people held similar beliefs about purity.
When the clay dried and hardened, they used them as tags or labels to put on baskets.
The Indus people pressed the seal into soft clay and it left a copy of itself on the clay.
Others loaded their goods on ships and sailed to trade with other lands.
Some traders carried goods on their backs or drove wooden carts pulled by oxen.
