  • Sir but wouldn't these celebrities have a financial advantage while getting the bail? They could have easily bribed the lawyers or the judges to give the bail in a fast manner.
  • Sir since the judiciary is an independent body does it face challenges.

  • Of course the judiciary faces numerous challenges. Let's look at some of the challenges.
  • The Judiciary faces many problems such as Pendency of cases and Vacancy in High Courts. The Madras High Court has 5.8 lakh cases against a relatively low level of vacancy at 7%.There are recruitment Delays due to which the posts in the Judiciary are not filled up at the required pace. Around 35% of the posts are lying vacant in the lower judiciary.
  • So sir what are some solutions to overcome these challenges.

  • Yes! There are many solutions to these challenges that the Judiciary faces. Firstly,the increase in strength of the judiciary through the All India recruitment exam may help in decreasing the vacancy of the Judges. These days, many “fast - track courts” are also being introduced for the swift disposal of long pending cases in courts.
  • After looking at the challenges faced by the Judiciary and the methods of overcoming them, we must look at the contributions made by the Judiciary in a democratic country.The judiciary is the branch of government which administers justice according to law. In modern democracies, an independent and integrated judiciary ensures that the government can be held accountable for their actions which are justiciable and in ensuring that the duly enacted laws are applied correctly according to the constitution.
