  • you have to know real and irrational numbers in order to understand what rational numbers are. Every number is a real number. You can also use real numbers as a way to represent integers.
  • Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be square rooted and have a repeated decimal they also cannot be expressed as a fraction
  • Mrs.Green how do you square root a number?
  • Oh my goodness molly have you not been paying attention in class the past few weeks?
  • Molly you can cry all you want, but you can't cry your way out of pre-algebra.
  • When you square root a number you find what multiplies itself to make that number. The square root of 25=5 because if you multiply 5*5 it equals 25. Now Molly do you understand?
  • Molly did you really just hit me?
