I believe that slavery may have been overall cause of the civil war, but I believe that the main cause of the Civil War was truly the Fugitive Slave Act. The Fugitive Slave Act practiced the unfair treatment of free colored people, both originally free and escaped. This caused tension between the Government and it's people; which would ultimately cause Civil War.

The Battle of Appomattox, VA- This battle would be the final battle of the Civil War due to General Lee surrendering to General Grant.
