  • 9th Amendment allows me to choose a career to teach.
  • It allows me the right to privacy
  • So if I wanted to fly a plane, I have a right to do so?
  • According to the 9th Amendment of the Constitution, yes you do.
  • Come join me and my students as we journey through what the 9th Amendment of the Constitution really means.
  • To sum it up class, the 9th Amendment guarantees that rights that are not specifically written in the Constitution may be kept by the people which keeps us as citizens from being abused.  The government can't take away rights that are kept by the people.
  • There are other rights of the constitution according to the 9th Amendment that are not denied to us as well.  These rights may include the right to public movement, the right to own property, the right to choose a career, the right to petition the government, the right to peaceful assembly, the right to religious exercise,  right to keep & bear arms, just to name a few.
