  • The Battle Of Marathon By: Taylor Treadwell Period 6
  • Persia and Greece are preparing for war. Their first battle will be in Marathon. 
  • I will not let you down King Darius.
  • Persia is getting ready for battle. The Persian army will be led by a general named Datis
  • In Persia.....
  • Datis, as my loyal general, you shall lead the invasion on Greece.
  • Callimachus, you will lead our forces into battle. 
  • Greece’s well known general, Callimachus will lead the Greeks.
  • I will not fail you. We will win!
  • In Greece.....
  • Soldiers, are you ready!
  • The Persians have 90,000 men fighting, while the Greeks only have 10-20,000 men.
  • At Marathon...
  • CHARGE!
  • As the two armies, clash, swords against spears, the Greeks appeared to be winning.
  • At Marathon...
  • They had more advanced weapons and better battle stratagies.
  • Woo Hoo!
  • Eventually, the Greeks defeated the Persians...
  • Retreat!
  • Forcing them to retreat.
