Duh of course! Gravity is holding the ball in the air but at some point it comes back to the ground.

Gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun. Gravity also keeps things on Earth. That's why the ball came back down! Does that make sense now?

Okay so, static friction is when 2 objects don't move. They stay in the same spot. Thats why when you go sledding, you stop at the end because that is when static friction is used.
Bella has learned what gravity is and how it works! It might take people longer to let this stuff sink in their head but you learn something new everyday right!
OH NO! Static friction helped this car from sliding any further. The wheels were rolling not sliding.
Static friction can occur in a lot of places that you wouldn't think it would occur. Bella is still learning and learning everyday. Static friction is helpful in everyday use because it stops everything from sliding!
