This Cyclops scene shows that Odysseus is a hero because saves his men from cyclops by blinding it. He also motivates his men in the process

Odysseus convinces the Witch Circe to turn his men instead of leaving them there.
This scene illustrates Odysseus warning his men about the Sirens and the consequences. This shows that he cares about them and not willing to let them go.
Lastly, Odysseus returning home shows his detirmination as he could've been easily side tracked. He restores his family name as he does not fail to show his family it is truly him. This shows that he is a hero
The Odyssey proves that Odysseus is a hero because of his heroic feats when it came to saving his men and defending his homeland
