  • Battle of Salamis
  • General Themistocles put the Persian fleet into the Strait of Salamis because he thought that the heavy Persian ships would move together making the battle easier for the Greeks.
  • ugh it's so crowded with these boats!
  • wow, the crowding of the ships will really give the Greeks an advantage.
  • The Persians set up camp in the plains in Plataea while Greek set up in Mt. Cithaeron. For a couple days, the Spartans, Teageans, and Athenians fought against the Persian army for days. The outcome of the battle was that the Greeks were victorious. 
  • Battle of Plataea
  • After the Persian Wars, Persia continued to be an empire until Alexander the Great destroyed it. As victorious, Athens persuadeh others to become part of the Delian League, and many city-states other than Sparta joined. 
  • Affects on what happened after the Persian Wars in Greece and Persia
  • Yay! The Greeks won the wars!
