On June 30th it all happened. The most monumental battle in the civil war was going to happen shortly and General Robert E. Lee was going have to go through it alone because his right hand man Stonewall Jackson who had died in a earlier battle.
This is going to be hard without Stonewall.
July 1st was the first day of the battle where The Union faced the Confederates. During this battle the Confederates pushed the Union all the way to the end of Gettysburg but then the Union held them at Cemetery Ridge.
We can't let them beat us!
Battle day 2 the Confederates have momentum while the union has heavy defensive position. Robert E. Lee's was focused on Little Round Top but they had short delays throughout the day so they couldn't gain position until late day.

The 3rd and final day of The Battle of Gettysburg there were 15,000 against 6,500 union so confederates obviously had the numbers. During this battle General George Pickett led Pickett's charge with 5,000 more confederate casualties so this meaning the Union took the Victory and the The Confederates are decimated.

We Must Charge!
During this Battle the Confederates had many more casualties than the union. The confederates had 28,000 casualties compared to the unions 23,000. This was a turning point in the war causing it to be bigger than the other battles and during this battle the union gained huge momentum.
On November 19th, 1863 Abraham Lincoln Gave a speech talking about human equality and sacrifice that was later given the name Gettysburg Address. And even though Lincoln was upset with the other battles he thought that he could make a statement.
