  • Feeling the best way to attack, the Allies decided to use surprise. They decided to attack Normandy. The allies started their mission to free Nazi-controlled Europe.  There were 6 divisions in total but I will be focusing on Canadians and Juno Beach
  • D-Day 
  • We are going to defeat the Nazi's
  • Normandy, France June 6, 1944
  • 14 000 brace Canadian soldiers stormed to face the Germans.
  • The soldiers fought hand to hand and made their way through the Germans
  • The Canadian soldiers reached Bernières and claimed a "bridgehead" that helped the Allies
  • The Canadian soldiers lost on D-Day - 340 only on Juno beach - helped lead the Allies to victory and boosted the morale of the soldiers. Not to mention the fight on Omaha beach, which the Allied soldiers fought bravely for
