  •     OK class we have reached the volcano
  • lava
  • The movement of the lava means it will slowly make its way to us
  • Can anyone with a show of hands tell me what rock can be formed by this volcano and how you know.
  • A igneous rock would be able to form from this volcano once the lava  starts cooling.I know because in pg 87 of our science book it says''When lava cools and crystallizes it becomes a igneous rock''
  • Can anyone with a show of hands tell me how a metamorphic rock can be formed or what metamorphism is and how you know.
  • A metamorphism is any process that affect the structure or composition of a rock in solid state as a result of changes in heat or starts heating up ,pressure,or the addition of chemical fluid I know because it states it on pg 101 in our science book
  • Sedimentary rocks are formed by these two things called compaction ,cementation, weathering ,and erosion
  • How is a sedimentary rock formed again?
  • Compaction is the  weight from the layers of sediment forced out fluids and decreases the space between grains
  • Cementation is when minerals dissolved in water crystallized between sediment grains
  • Magma is ''molten or liquid rock underground'' pg 81
  • Ok class give me the definition of this weeks vocabulary
  • Weathering ''The mechanical and chemical processes that change objects on earths surface'' pg 117
  • Erosion eroded by wind, water, or other natural things
