Today class, we will be learning about the nervous system.
Well, the nervous system is part of the brain. It's responsible for sending signals to the body on how to react.
oh so if you move your leg, your brains responsible for it moving?
well, kind of. In this example, lets say you were playing kick ball, you know that you would have to kick the ball, so the brain sends a signal to you leg in order for it to move or kick the ball.
I'm still lost.
Oh, I think I get it.
The nervous system is made up of a collection of nerves called neurons
The nervous system is responible for reactions that the body has
the nervous is made up of two components, the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.
it is made up of the brain, spinal cord and nerves
The nervous system, specialized for the conduction of impulses, allows rapid responses to environmental stimuli.
The nervous system of the cnidarian is a squid looking cell that helps the nervous system work.
"A nervous system can be defined as an organized group of cells, called neurons, specialized for the conduction of an impulse—an excited state—from a sensory receptor through a nerve network to an effector, the site at which the response occurs."
