Week 3 - 149-214 of Projekt 1065 by Alan Gratz
This storyboard does not have a description.
The scene that I chose is one where a group of Nazi boys walk into their teacher's room, and beat him up, later dragging him into the street, and nearly beating him to death. They do this, because Melcher was "disloyal" too the Nazi's, even though they looked pass the fact that his son was killed fighting for Germany. Michael, the main character, refuses to help the teacher, even though that they are both against Hitler, to save his identity.
"Melcher's watery desperate eyes found mine, and in that moment, I knew. I knew that deep down he really hated the Nazis, and that he'd been faking his lyalty to them all this time. And that he knew that I had been too."
I chose this scene, because the author was very descriptive in the actions of the Nazi youth. Also, I chose this, because it shows how the youth that were for Hitler even had more power than their own teacher, and this scene shows the internal conflict in Michael of whether or not to stand up for Major Melcher.
