  • Good morning class! I just got your results back from our Unit 3 test, and I must say I am very surprised. As you all know there are parent teacher conferences tomorrow, but first I want to meet with you all individually.
  • I wanted to meet with you today because I am very concerned about you not meeting the expected proficiency level that I thought you would reach. I know you are capable of meeting your goals, and I will help you meet those goals. Tomorrow I will discuss these scores with your parents and we will plan a solution that will help you.
  • I'm glad you guys were able to come to tonight's teacher parent meeting. In this folder are his results of his Unit 3 test. Unfortunately, he did not meet his expected proficiency level, but today we will come up with a plan. Here are his test scores, as well as some examples of his work leading up to the test.
  • What expectations and goals do you think will be most beneficial for your son?
  • I think checking in on his work daily will help him be accountable to complete his work and the goal will be of course to be caught up with wherever the class is.
  • Okay, he will be required to check in with me daily to go over his workbook, and I will set aside time to work on sections he is struggling with. I will also work one on one with him to make sure he is caught up with the rest of the class. Also, I will pair your son with another student that I believe will work well together. 
  • That sounds great
  • So again, your son's goals are to understand the subjects terminology better, and to complete the work he missed and correct any errors. I am glad we were able to discuss a plan of action to work toward your child's goals. I will continue to keep you both updated on your sons progress. Thank you for your support.
