  • What do you mean you want to speak? You are a lady you can't do that stay back here and listen.
  • UNBELIEVABLE ! 
  • The movement begin at Anti-Slavery Convention in London.
  • I worked for many hours for very little pay that I didn't even get to claim
  • Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott meet after being denied to speak at the Anti-Slavery Convention in London. They were told sit behind the current and listen. This where they met and became friends.
  • We said no taxation without representation! Women are being taxed without representation!
  • Eight years after their first meeting. Elizabeth and Lucretia meet for tea time. When they got the idea to send a send a notice to the news paper about women's convention in Seneca Falls, New York. When the convention happened 300 people came including 40 men. The organizers of the convention helped with the proposal of women's rights, Declaration of Sentiments. 
  • I am thinking of getting the house for sale that's on 3rd and turning it into a bakery. 
  • A few women talked at the convention. One of the women was a 19 year old factory worker her name is Charlotte Woodward. She talked how she worked so hard and sewed so many gloves for her job and got money that she couldn't even have.
  • The convention helped shape an organized campaign for women's right. Sojourner Truth had a speech,"Ain't I a Women", which mesmerized the audience.She be came an active person in the movement. Stanton meet Susan B. Anthony to help do speakings that she wrote becuase she didn't like to speak in public,
  • August 10, 1920 woman got more rights. They could vote, have more pay, own property, and could have better professions.
