When it comes to the past, it has the ability to discourage yet motivate me. I became what i am at the age of thirteen. The day was Saturday August 16th, 2014.
I remember the precise moment : getting the football, running, seeing there was no green grass, trying to make a cut and getting hit right in the knee by two opposing team helmets. Hearing a loud pop of the ligament in my knee.
I tried to stand up and walk off the field but i fell back down to the ground. I couldn't feel my foot.
My coaches had to carry me off the field. i couldn't hear anything but my heart beating. the stands were silent.I could feel the eyes looking at me. the stands, cheerleaders, the entire team, the other coaches. I felt bad that i couldn't help my team in the game anymore. My father thought that it was a bruise or something, until I told him I couldn't feel anything in my right leg.
When I found I had a complete torn ACL, I had to get surgery in order to return to any sports. Today now I feel like if i can go through that strenuous injury i can accomplish anything I put my mind through.
That day, August 16th, made me what I am today: Stronger, Impervious, and humble.
