It was 28 June 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sophie visited Sarajevo.
Six Serbians swore to murder Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie as they drove on Appel Quay.
The First Conspirator who tried to kill Franz Ferdinand threw a bomb at his car and it bounced onto the bystanders so he got arrested.
The Archduke wanted to visit the injured bystanders but the driver took a wrong turn and ended up on narrow road.
I'm starving, might as well get some lunch...
Gravilo Princip didn't think twice and drew his gun, he took his opportunity and fired at the archduke and his wife, killing them both. This assassination set off a chain of events which descended into war.
