  • In the Maya times, trading was vital for our cities. In fact, trading was how we got what we needed but that also benefitted who we traded.
  • We would trade things they needed to them, in exchange we got what we needed. It was very fair.
  • Due to the lack of wheeled cars and use of animals, these goods traveled Maya area by sea.
  • By trading with other civilizations, growth in Mayan society took place. Our most beneficial achievement was the Mayan Trade Network, the complex trade routes and the number of goods that were traded is what made the Trade Network significant.
  • We trade goods like salt, cotton mantels, slaves, quetzal feathers, flint, chert, obsidian, jade, colored shells, Honey, cacao, copper tools, and ornaments
  • In conclusion, trading is what helped our civilization prosper and leave behind a good reputation.
