  • What about our Catholic religion?
  • They're endangering our rights under the Quebec Act
  • What will happen to our French customs andlanguage ?
  • Where will we live?
  • What about our land?
  • The Impacts of the Loyalist Migration
  • Hi class. For our presentation we decided to do the Impacts of the Loyalist Migration on British North America
  • People left Britain because of economic reasons. They lost their jobs during the Industrial Revolution, as machines replaced their jobs. Ireland also experienced famine in their land, so they left Britain and came to British North America, now know as Canada.
  • The Canadiens living in Quebec began to get worried about their land being taken over. They also didn't want their French language and Catholic religion to be challenged against the British's language and religion.
  • The British Loyalists began to ask for British laws and customs because they were " British born subjects that were used to the British style government.
  • On behalf of all the British Loyalists who came to Quebec, we would like to ask for British laws, language, and religion instead of French laws, language and religion. We would like a British styled government because we grew up with it and we are British born subjects. I hope you accept my proposal.
