Transmission of aggression through imitation: Bandura, Ross and Ross (1961)
36 boys and 36 girls aged between 3-5 were divided into 8 groups of 6 children in each. The remaining number of children acted as a control group.
The children were brought to the experiment individually, and were invited to play a game; number of toys were present in the room. An adult 'model' then entered the room...after a minute, the model started acting aggressively towards the Bobo doll... behaviour not expected from children unless influenced by the model's behaviour.
'Mild aggression arousal' was present which means that the children did copy the behaviour of the adult 'model'
