  • World War 1 
  • Rasputin's Influence
  • February Revolution
  • During World War 1, Russians weren't prepared for the war, and millions died from it. This sparked nationalism and revolution across Russia.
  • October Revolution
  • Nicholas II went to front and Tsarina Alexandra went to Rasputin for advice. Rasputin was an illiterate peasant, and influenced Alexandra greatly. After Rasputin pushed towards a monarchy, a group of nobles assassinated him.
  • Treaty of Brest-Liovsk
  • Due to WWI, there was food and fuel shortages, and the monarchy collapsed. This made workers go on strike, and the government was helpless, and also made tsar Nicholas II step down. 
  • Civil War
  • the civil war within
  • A revolution where certain Russians wanted certain demands. Soldiers were tired of the war, peasants wanted land, and workers wanted to stop desperate shortages.
  • A treaty where Russia would give up a huge part of itself and population to Germany. They did this in order to make peace with Germany, so they can deal with personal conflicts. 
  • For three years the Reds and the Whites fought within Russia, creating a civil war. The Allied powers didn't want the communists ir the "Reds" to win, so they sent in troops to help the Whites. This made Russia vulnerable and Japan seized some of their land.
