Three friends had just lost their jobs from three different companies. Derek working for Nautique had got laid off due to low sales, Brennan worked as a banker and was fired for stealing, and Dale worked on the federal reserve board of governors and his term had run out.
After eating lunch together, they discussed what they were going to do with their lives next. Derek invited the boys to wake surf with him after, so they paid for their meals with their unemployment food stamps and headed towards the water.
While wakesurfing, Dale pointed out that Derek’s boat didn’t make a big enough wake, however Derek had the best boat Nautique made. At this point, Brennan said “Well I can get us a loan, let’s build our own."
The boys finally got their money to start their dream and pushed aside the high interest rate they acquired it with. They knew that once they met their expected demand, they could reset the boat market with Prestige Worldwide boats.
So the boys took out a loan and started their entrepreneurship adventure. A trademark was filed under the US Patent and Trademark Office for the name Prestige Worldwide. What started as a critique on Nautique now turned into a all out business idea.
The men talked of what the could do to make the better version of the boat they possessed now.
