In Bagdad, a poor porter Hinbad was employed to carry a heavy burden from one end of town to the other. Although the weather was hot, and he came upon a mansion to rest.
It is very hot, I must rest to regain my energy.
Hinbad then smelt of several savory dishes and the charming melody of the music, so he continued to the servants at the front gate. The servants were amazed that Hinbad had never heard of the great sailor Sinbad! So one servant continued to invite Hinbad in as Sinbad wanted to speak to him.
The servants brought him into a great hall, where people sat round a table, covered with all sorts of savory dishes. Sinbad sat at the table as well, and even though others fear grew in his presence, Sinbad served him himself and offered him wine.
