  • In chapter one, we are introduced to the Wiesel family. You meet MR and MRS. Wiesel, and the two children. the conflict in this is that the family and Jews of the town are forced to move into ghettos.
  • Climax

  • All Jews are permitted to wear a star and number. They are forced to move into ghettos, and out of their homes. The Nazis take over almost every city and town. 
  • Falling action

  • The main rising action of the story is on the train when the Wiesel old neighbor is hallucinating. She is yelling that she sees a fire but really she is just starving and dehydrated. She is beaten and told to shut up by the people of the train.

  • The climax of the story is when Mr. Wiesel dies. He has beem sick for a long time and eventually passes. He would have been killed if he was sick anyways.
  • Elie is saved by the US troops. They bombard the Nazis and the Jews are all freed. They are given extra food and helped back home.
  • Mr. Wiesel moves back home for a bit and becomes an author. He eventually moves to New York City and won many awards on his book. This is one of the best books i have ever read, and by far the realest.
