Battle at Philadelphia
The plan is to capture Albany, but I bet I could take Philadelphia in the way. Then we can have the rebel congress in our grasp!
British General William Howe
Now, we will take the city of Philadelphia. The rebels' Continental Congress is based there!
As they marched to Philadelphia, Howe's troops fought at Brandywine and Paoli. They were set on taking Philadelphia, but they risked their mission with this campaign.
After defeating Washington's men, Howe marched on Philadelphia and took the city. Upon arriving, they force the Continental Congress to leave.
Where is everybody?
After taking Philadelphia, Howe and his troops decided to stay in Philadelphia for the winter. This caused the plan to take Albany to fail.
