Antigone Returns to Thebes, where her brothers had agreed to rule in alternative years but Eteocles was first and he refused to give up power after his turn so Polyneices fled to another city. Polyneices returned with an army and the Thebans repulsed each asault, but during the battle, Eteoles and Polyneices Killed Each Other.
Creon Becomes King and gave Eteocles a hero's Burial. Polyneices got thrown out side of the gate unburied. "to rot in the sun outside the city gates." That was seen as a terrible punishment. Antigone Argues at this because she believes that God's laws must be obeyed, whatever the consequences.
