  • Totalitarianism is a system of government that is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state.
  • The country before totalitarian leaders usually will be in a crisis and will be in loss of hope and have uncertainty of the future
  • Some examples of this would be like treaty of Versailles and the great depression.
  • An example of a totalitarian leader would be the most infamous man, Adolf Hitler. Some of the traits that make him a totalitarian leader would be his methods of enforcement which includes police terror, censorship, and prosecution.
  • That is just one of the many traits that are required to become a totalitarian leader. Also, state control of individuals such as interfering with business, labor, housing, education, religion, arts, and personal life.
