What It's Like to Walk the Oregon Trail Continued
This storyboard does not have a description.
Now we are on the path to the trail. We have to wake up extremely early at 4AM in order to to prepare ourselves for more of the upcoming journey.
We began to eat breakfast at around 5:30 AM. This was midway through our journey through the trail. Rations included bacon, rice, coffee, and biscuits.
Everyone in the area proceeded to ride the wagons onward. We covered a good amount of distance despite it being incredibly tiring.
One of our men spotted a pleasant spot to camp on for the night. We stopped our wagons to set our tents.
Some of us went to sleep immediately, while others had supper and relaxed. Once everyone went to sleep, the cycle more or less repeated every day.
That was days ago, however. The locals and I are currently residing in Oregon in our new homes. It was well worth the long amounts of walking for days on end and losses of those we loved, though.
