Hello my name is Seth and I am doing my project on the nervous system.
The nervous system is made up of your brain, spinal cord, nerves, and cells called neurons that send signals all over your body. These organs and cells make up you body's 'electrical wiring'.
Your spinal cord runs from your brain and down your back. It splits off into thread-like nerves that go all over your body.
Your brain is the heart of the nervous system. Signals are sent to and from the brain to and from places all over your body. When a signal comes from somewhere in your body, it tells that body part how to react. For example, if you put your hand in freezing water, your brain will automatically tell your hand to move back.
The nervous system relies mainly on the neurons to send signals around the body. Signals are made when the brain creates connections between the neurons, making something similar to an electric circuit.
The nervous system affects the way we move, think, learn, and behave. That is why I did my project on this, because it is an important system.
