  • Rising Action
  • Two families feud in Verona, Italy: the Montagues and the Capulets. The feud is bloody and citizens have died because of the fights the families started. The citizens want this feud to end.
  • Climax
  • Romeo, a Montague, and Juliet, a Capulet, meet at a party and fall in love. They meet at Juliet's balcony and pronounce their love to each other.
  • Falling Action
  • Romeo and Juliet marry, but Romeo ends up killing Juliet's cousin Tybalt because he killed Romeo's friend Mercutio. Because of his actions, Romeo is banished from Verona.
  • Resolution
  • In order to escape her father who is arranging her marriage, Juliet pretends to die. Romeo finds Juliet 'dead' in family vault (tomb) and kills himself with poison to join her.
  • Juliet wakes from death sleep, finds Romeo dead and kills herself with a knife because she could not live without Romeo.
  • From the death of the two teens, the families unite in their sorrow and end the feud.
